The CNMB range of DIN Rail enclosures provides a variety of housing options and are suitable for multiple applications and industries. They can be adapted to make your stand out in the market. The modular CNMB series is the perfect enclosure for DIN Rail mounted control systems.
The CNMB range is fully customisable and provides you multiple options to build your exact requirements. You can specify different lengths, tops, walls, guards and PCB positions. The CNMB is as flexible as you need it to be.
You can select from eight body sizes and four body types:
- Standard open top
- Solid top
- Vented
- Extended wall versions.
Standard open tops are more commonly used for applications where some of the external connections will be made through the top of the enclosure. The top cover can be customised to include a cut-out of the desired connection or even LCDs. Then it just clicks into place to meet the components on the PCB.
Solid top versions provide a recessed section in the top of the housing which is ideal for membrane overlays. Labels can be displayed in this area and when used with a clear lid the labels would be easily visible.
Vented wall options are ideal for components and systems that can generate more heat. Extended wall versions will meet the lower PCB position and sit behind the terminals. This neatens the terminal space and reduces arc’s, if high power connections are being used.
Standard bodies are dual sided requiring a minimum of two terminal guards. However single sided bodies are also available. Whilst sizes one to five have a maximum of two terminal sections and each have their own size terminal guard to match, the larger sizes are laid out differently. Body size six has four terminals, size nine has six terminals and size twelve has eight terminal sections – these are split up and use the size three terminal guard.
There are eight terminal guard options are available. From pre drilled versions with a pitch of 5.08mm to guards with cut-outs for RJ45 and USB connectors. Solid types provide a protective closed cover to the terminals and can easily be customised to suit your own terminal requirements.
To complete the kit there are a variety of top covers to choose from. Available in eight styles to fit each size of enclosure, it is attached via a snap fit action. The options include red transparent, curved and solid lids plus many more!
In addition to the number of combinations that can be selected, the freedom of choice is pushed further by allowing up to five different PCB layouts, with slots pre-moulded into the housing. A maximum of three horizontal and two vertical positions can be used at one time. What’s more is no screws are required! Everything is snap fit assembled for an easy and quick build.
The primary mounting for this enclosure is the DIN Rail compatibility. However, the DIN Rail clips located on the base of the housing can be pushed out to become surface mount lugs instead. This allows the CNMB to be used in different scenarios and environments.
