SMC Pneumatics has relaunched its training proposition for pneumatics and electro pneumatics thanks to a partnership with the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC).  Trainees can follow up the course with a CETOP qualification, recognised by the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA).

Already the world market leader, SMC – recently confirmed as the UK market leader for pneumatic and fluid control solutions – has appointed the NFPC as approved training provider.  NFPC staff will provide training either at SMC’s state-of-the-art facility in Milton Keynes, or at their own premises in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.

Thanks to the partnership agreement, two courses are currently available with bookings already being taken:

– a 3-day  introduction to pneumatics and electro pneumatics

– a 2-day BFPA/CETOP competence-based qualification

To ensure delegates receive a high level of support, places on each course are restricted to six, with tutors allocated on a ratio of one for every three participants.

SMC’s Head of Operations, Dave Westbury, said the company is delighted to be able to offer a first class training proposition in conjunction with NFPC.  “We decided to completely restructure our customer training offer to make sure we remain at the forefront of the market.  Appointing NFPC as our approved trainer ensures our customers receive first class education from a leader in their field, who are always right up to date with current practices and legislative requirements.

“The EP1 course gives entry level staff a thorough overview, from the uses and risks of pneumatics right through to constructing circuits. Later, they can take the CETOP qualification to prove their competence – and have BFPA certification as proof.

“The National Fluid Power Centre offers a world class training facility which reflects SMC’s own position as UK and world market leaders and we look forward to a long and productive partnership.”

Full details of the available dates for each course along with costs, syllabuses and downloadable versions of the course leaflets are all available on SMC’s UK website in the “About Us” section.  Alternatively email ptktraining@smcpneumatics.co.uk for more details.
