Capable of sub-micron accuracy and millisecond settling times, Omron’s Accurax G5 servo drives are complemented by small, light, motors which use ten-pole construction to achieve a 40% reduction in cogging. The IP67 motors also have an integrated 20-bit encoder.

The drives, which have support for side-by-side mounting, have two safety inputs and an external device monitoring output. Up to eight drives can be connected to a single safety relay. There are three types of control available: Analogue/Pulse, MLII (Mechatrolink-II), and EtherCAT. Easy integration of drives with, for example, Trajexia machine controllers and NS-series operator interface terminals is ensured by their support into Omron’s ONE SOFTWARE – ONE CONNECTION automation architecture.

The drives are available for 230V single-phase operation with ratings from 50W to 1.5kW, and 400V three-phase operation with 400W to 5kW ratings.
