RVL, an electronic design and manufacturing company based in Matfield, Kent, has been awarded the new ISO 9001:2015 certification nearly two years before it becomes the compulsory standard.

The purpose of the ISO certification has always been to help companies to be customer-focused by ensuring quality, safety and efficiency. The new revision takes into account increasingly complex supply chains; leadership engagement; and managing organisational risks and opportunities to meet the changing needs of customers in a global marketplace.

Andrew Bucknell, Quality Director, said, “We are delighted to have secured the new ISO 9001 certification, way ahead of the deadline, and before many of our competitors. Our customers rightly expect the highest standards and, while we have been committed to meeting these for nearly 25 years, the certification proves that we are not content to our rest on our laurels. Quality drives everything we do.”

Peter Smith, RVL’s Operations Director, added, “I am proud of all our staff, from purchasing to design and manufacturing, for the effort they have put in to achieve this gold standard at such an early stage. Our customers can trust that we are adhering to the latest best-practice, and providing them with the highest quality products and services.”
