Not only has Murrelektronik re-designed its M8 connector to have a ‘modern look’ to match the technical upgrade inside, but the company has extended its range of shielded M8 connectors.
The compact connectors are moulded with PUR for high resistance, and feature goldplated contacts, a connection for corrugated pipes and a hexagonal screw with thread (SW9). A variety of models are available: male or female, straight and 90°, three-pole and four-pole, shielded and unshielded, various colours and materials, connection cables, open ended wires, add in Tcouplers, adapters and models with LEDs, etc.
Additional features include EMC characteristics, plastic glands and a snap-in connection principle. M8 connectors are also available for real time Ethernet based on EtherCAT, with open ended wires and a connection cable, with either M8, M12 or RJ45 connection. Stainless steel fittings are provided for the food and beverage industry.
