Compact, high efficiency secure power from AC or DC inputs

PULS Power the specialist manufacturer of high reliability DIN-Rail power supplies latest addition to its market leading Dimension CP Series is a ruggedised unit featuring an integrated high efficiency MOSFET based decoupling function for secure power N+1 redundant operation without the need for an external decoupling unit or use of inefficient “OR-ing” diodes.

The new CP20.241 power supply family features a 100-240VAC wide range input voltage and an output of 24VDC rated at 20A. Ruggedised with a conformally coated PCB the CP20.241-R2-C1 version is ideal for installation in harsh environments. The power supply is suitable for use in battery or other DC power systems and the CP20.241-R2 model has an enhanced input range of 88 to 360VDC.

The ultra-compact CP20.241 power supply range is just 48mm wide and may be specified with either quick-connect spring-clamp terminals or hot-swap connectors ensuring no-break power in mission critical applications.

Other standard features include efficiency up to 95.2%, active power factor correction (PFC), minimal inrush current surge, 20% “output power reserve” for peak load demands, operating temperature range of -25 to +70°C, operating humidity range from 5 to 95%RH, safe “HiccupPLUS” overload protection, internal “DC OK” contact, RoHS and REACH compliance and a market leading 3 year warranty.

All international safety agency approvals are met and the PULS CP series complies fully with the demands of hazardous locations – Class 1, Div 2 Groups A, B, C, D locations, IECEx, and ATEX by design.

Typical applications include industrial systems, renewable energy, smart buildings and factories, drives and controls, transportation, marine, water processing, semiconductor manufacture, robotics and medical.

Marco van der Linden, UK Country Manager, for PULS comments, “Secure no-break power supply is essential for many industrial and control systems. Our N+1 redundant, hot-swappable DIN- Rail power supplies reduce system complexity and cost, offer shorter installation times and space savings of more than 45% over conventional power solutions. With the addition of conformal coating our products will now find even more applications in in harsh environments. The PULS CP series are efficient, compact and reliable and have a highly sophisticated thermal design delivering the lowest cost of ownership to the end user.”
