A range of robust NEMA Type 9 enclosures are now available from?Schroff. Manufactured by sister company Hoffman, these are for housing electronic or electrical equipment in locations that are hazardous due to the presence of combustible dusts. These are UL and CSA certified for use in Class II Division 1 and 2 Group E, F and G locations.
Constructed from 5mm, 6mm and 10mm steel plate, the enclosures are available in 14 sizes with internal dimensions from 203 x 152 x 102mm to 1219 x 914 x 305mm. To provide a dust-tight seal and prevent the ingress of particulates, these feature fibre gaskets attached to the covers using mechanical retainers. Additional features include mounting brackets and either weldnuts or stud collars to support the optional internal panels. Larger models have heavy duty cover hinges. Other optional accessories include terminal block kits and industrial corrosion inhibitors.
