Roger Evans MBE has been appointed as Schaeffler UK’s new managing director. Evans has taken over duties and responsibilities from Kate Hartigan, who is retiring after serving more than 19 years at the company.
In addition to his new role, Evans will continue in his current position as plant director of Schaeffler UK’s automotive production plant in Llanelli, South Wales.
Hartigan will begin a phased retirement on 1st August 2013.
Evans commented: “Since joining Schaeffler in 1994, Kate Hartigan has been the key driving force behind the continued success of the UK business. Kate’s commitment and outstanding achievements during her 19 years at the company have made a decisive contribution to the sustained growth and profitability of Schaeffler UK.”
