Michael Keenan-Dilks is celebrating an impressive four decades working for one of the UK’s largest fluid power solutions providers.

What started out as a summer job in the 1970’s helping out the original owners of what was then called Automatic Valve Systems (AVS), in their small Market Bosworth based sales operation, has led to a forty-year career for Michael with The Fluid Power Centre Group of companies.

Currently running the Nuneaton based sales office for encapsulated coils and industrial connections supplier ATAM (UK) Ltd, Michael has seen considerable change during his time with the group.

He comments: “When I started helping out at AVS I still had ambitions to become a chef, but I quickly became involved in sales, before moving into marketing and running the firm’s quality assurance system. I was also responsible for creating and developing the very first catalogues for the company using the ‘Publisher’ programme which was quite futuristic in its day!”

He adds: “In the forty years I’ve been here I’ve had the privilege of working with a great team of people and for a very progressive and supportive company, which goes a long way to explaining why so many of my colleagues have been here for decades too.”
