TMAT – the global manufacturer of acoustic components for industrial and agricultural vehicles – has welcomed two school-age work experience students to find out what it’s like to work in a vibrant, global manufacturing business.

Ben Lippitt, from Thomas Telford School, Shropshire, will be given a flavour of life on the shopfloor, helping to create acoustic solutions that will be used in industrial and agricultural vehicles across the globe.

Meanwhile, Aaron Millward, from Tupton Hall School, Chesterfield, will spend two weeks finding out what it’s like to be part of the busy Finance Department of global engineering firm with big ambitions.

Laura Bawden, financial director at TMAT and a governor at Chaucer School in Sheffield, said: “TMAT as a business is deeply passionate about encouraging young people to consider a career in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.”

“So, we’re delighted that we will have two school-age work experience students joining us to find out what it’s like to work in an industry and environment like ours.”

“We’re confident that both will find their respective experiences incredibly valuable, as they plan for adult and working life – and we very much hope that their time with us will inspire them to consider a career in the exciting world of manufacturing and engineering.”
