The Hammond Electronics well-established field-proven 1593 Series sealed to IP54 for general purpose use, has an ergonomic design that fits comfortably into the hand. The range is available in black, grey and translucent blue ABS as standard with either one or two removable end panels depending on the size. The 1593AL family end panels are natural aluminium; the plastic ones for the 1593 family are colour matched to the body material. Selected sizes of the 1593 are available with either flat or profiled panels that enhance the overall appearance of the enclosure. Both the 1593 and the 1593AL are available with or without a battery door, again a size-dependent option.
The 1593 is available in a number of configurations, all sizes feature a recessed top cover to accept a display or membrane keyboard. 11 sizes from 60 x 105 x 35 to 140 x 66 x 28 have flat plastic end panels and five selected sizes include alternative profiled plastic end panels as part of the kit. Five sizes are available with or without a battery door in the base with battery holders for a single PP9 or 1, 2, 3 or 4 AA or AAA size batteries available as an accessory. Five sizes have a single removable end panel; nine sizes have two removable end panels. 10 sizes from 66 x 66 x 28 to 140 x 66 x 28 have aluminium end panels. Alternative IR transparent end panels are available for all sizes and a universal belt clip is available as an accessory.
