Autodesk has launched a fully re-designed and re-built version of its Autodesk Certified Instructor Programme  (ACI) in Europe. The updated scheme, which will be delivered in Europe by Connect, a KnowledgePoint company, incorporates online learning for the first time. This will enable more instructors to benefit from training, while maintaining the quality and high standards of the ACI certification course.

The programme trains instructors of Autodesk’s software for, architecture, manufacturing and civil engineering, media and entertainment professionals. Now candidates can choose between blended learning (an e-course combined with classroom certification preparation), or a course that’s entirely managed online. For the online-only course, candidates self-record and submit their own video so the evaluator can assess, grade and appraise their work.

Courses can be accessed via a new ACI website which provides general information about the programme and enables approved candidates to develop a personalised course catalogue.

“The aim of the programme has always been to certify the most talented designers to form a select network. As well as ensuring technology expertise, it also offers teaching support, advice on lesson content, plans and teaching styles,” said Kirstin Donoghue, Autodesk programme manager EU at Connect. “However, growing demand for instruction across a wider global reach made former organisational models unscalable and unsustainable. Now we can train far more, while at the same time maintain the same high standards.”
