EMSc, manufacturer of the Star range of energy saving products, has welcomed the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, together with Nick Clegg, Liberal Democrat Sheffield Hallam MP and Deputy Prime Minister, to its new international headquarters in Sheffield.

The facility houses a research and development centre and a manufacturing plant that includes all the processes involved in developing the company’s products: winding, curing, assembly and testing. In total the new facility will provide an operational space totalling 23,620 sq ft, which will allow the company to grow and meet the developing demand for its products.

Dignitaries, customers, partners, associates, distributors and staff from EMSc’s international offices were given a guided tour of the facility, during which they also saw EMSc (UK’s) latest product, Powerstar HV MAX.

Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg commented, “EMSc UK Ltd are a great example of another outstanding local business who are exporting the ‘Made in Sheffield’ brand throughout the World. I’m hugely impressed by their products and welcome the fact that their research, development, sourcing and manufacturing is all done right here in the UK.”

Products from the company have been installed in a variety of public sector and private sector sites including the NHS, Palace of Westminster, Whitbread Group and ASDA.
