Railtex 2019 will take place next week at the NEC in Birmingham. Running from the 14-16 May, the 14th International Exhibition of Railway Equipment, Systems and Services will feature over 420 exhibitors from 22 countries.

It will also be showcasing the best of the UK projects and innovation and technology with big name speakers in rail, high speed, digital technology and recruitment showcase.

Railtex 2019 will formally open on Tuesday 14th May at 10.30am. The ceremony will take place in the Seminar Theatre in the main exhibition hall. Darren Caplan, Chief Executive of the Railway Industry Association, Anna DelVecchio, Commercial Account Director of Amey and the Minister of State for Trade and Export Promotion will be taking part in the ceremony.

Among the keynote speakers will be the Rail Minister MP Andrew Jones, who is speaking at the event’s Future Focus Conference, a new feature to the exhibition which will cover key challenges and opportunities UK rail will face in the coming years. The Rail Minister’s keynote speech will take place on Wednesday, May 15th.

Thursday 16th May will see Network Rail’s Managing Director, Group Digital Railway, Stuart Calvert deliver a keynote focusing on Devolution and the Digital Railway.

Also on Thursday 16th May, the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport MP Andy McDonald will close the three-day seminar programme speaking on the Labour Party’s plans for rail.

This year’s event will showcase the very best in railway manufacturing, engineering and technology, with key sectors including rolling stock, railway interiors, infrastructure and digital technology.

Entry to Railtex 2019 remains free of charge if you pre-register online ahead of your visit. For non-registered visitors there will be a £20 entry charge payable on arrival at the NEC.
