The Northern Manufacturing & Electronics Show is to launch at Manchester’s Event City on October 2nd and 3rd 2013.

The show follows the format of the successful Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show, which this year attracted a record 8,500 visitors along with some of the largest machinery and industrial equipment manufacturers in the world.

Visitors to Northern Manufacturing can expect to meet a similar selection of suppliers, ranging from local firms to major international companies, such as The Eurotech Group, XYZ Machine Tools, Brother, Fronius UK, Renishaw, Nikon Metrology, Yamazaki Mazak and Trumpf. There’s also an extensive seminar programme running over both days, offering free presentations by leading industry figures.

Over the last seventeen years, the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show has grown to become a key annual exhibition for UK manufacturing, drawing visitors and exhibitors from across the entire southern half of the country. Show Director, Phil Valentine, commented, “Northern Manufacturing will bring a similar focus to manufacturing in the North, allowing easy access by industrial professionals from the Midlands, North Wales, the north of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Eire.”

Machinery and production equipment, components, electronics and sub-contract services are just some of the areas covered by the show, which is popular with visitors from a wide variety of industries, such as aerospace, medical technology, defence and manufacturing.

“We are very excited to be launching in the North,” said Valentine, “And we’re confident that the show is going to deliver real benefit for professionals from every branch of industry.”
