The RoHS compliant IDEA External Linear Programmable Actuator from Haydon Kerk Motion is available in the UK from Reliance Precision Mechatronics. This compact, easy-to-use electronic drive and fully programmable control unit is integrated with a linear actuator, resulting in a single compact package with a variety of screw pitches, allowing fine resolution linear motion and a stroke length of up to 508mm.
Programmed using on-screen graphic buttons, the actuator’s features include a single supply voltage of 12 to 48 VDC, 2.6Arms (3.68A peak) max rated current per phase, and eight opto-isolated general purpose I/O. The inputs are rated for 5-24 VDC, 4mA max per input. The outputs are open collector, 5-24 VDC, 200mA maximum per output.
This is suitable for small gantry robots, motion systems for optics and lasers, high resolution imaging, precision fluid dispensers, and other applications requiring precise linear motion.
