The ADDA OSmart AC fan is said to be the first AC equipment fan that can vary its speed with changes in ambient temperature. Available in the UK from Aerco, it is said to save as much as 30% energy when used in servers, telecommunication racks, UPS systems, industrial machinery, etc.
The sensing thermistor of the fan can be mounted on the fan hub or on a lead allowing it to be placed in a critical area. The axial fans, which won ‘Best Choice’ award at the Taipei Computer Association in May, are built in the 120 x 120 x 38mm frame size.
